Moving to Lake Almanor ten years ago, Lizzie put her artistic talents into designing
and decorating her LACC home. As avid collectors of art, she and husband Manny developed many ties to our art community. For
four years the Aragon's ran the LACC Music & Arts program showcasing many talented musicians and artists.
Lizzie's artistic endeavors have dealt mainly with
needles of some sort - quilting, needle point, soft sculpture and knitting. Her purses are hand knitted in wool, washed in
very hot water and then block to create the final product. The endless possibilities of color and texture provided by her
selection of yarns, beads and fun fur produce these very unique and sturdy felted purses.
"When I started coming home with the contents of my purse in a
grocery sack because someone had bought the purse I was carrying off my shoulder, I realized that there was a market for these
whimsical creations."
