with nature in all it's woods and try to capture these in oil and pastel."
A California native, Mary Jane graduated from Fresno State with degrees in Fine Arts and Education. She attributes
her love of nature to the many summers spent at her grandparents' cattle ranch in Sierra Valley (Plumas County). In
those quiet surroundings, she learned to appreciate and connect with the changing patterns of light and color on the land.
Her work has been in a number of fine art galleries in the Bay Area and her paintings were frequently displayed in juried
shows and regional art events in Napa and Sonoma. She and her husband Allyn are presently residents of the Lake Almanor
Country Club. The beautiful landscapes and seasonal changes in our area serve as an inspiration for her artistic expression.
