Bio
Jan has always enjoyed taking photographs but it wasn't until she retired from 27 years of
full time elementary teaching that she became serious about photography. Using a Canon Digital camera she enjoys taking macro
photos of flowers wherever she goes. She considers photography a kind of meditation. When she is photgraphing, she attempts
to capture photos that not only appeal to the viewers eye or tell a story, but also express the beauty and color of the world
around her. She especially looks for the drama in each shot whether it be a flower or lake or sunset.
