Carolyn Yeates works in many different mediums: oil, acrylic, pastels and mixed media. Her
favorite subjects are wildlife and the Sutter Buttes. Carolyn paints on location whenever possible. As she travels through
various regions she captures wildlife and nature's beauty in photograph's, which then enable her to create paintings in her
home studio. Carolyn's love for God's creatures is particularly evident in her work.
Carolyn has participated in the California Duck Stamp Competition been the recipient of many
awards including five Best of Shows, a people's Choice Award, three Honorable Mentions at the State Fair and many Blue Ribbons.
In 2003 she and her husband, Delaine, moved from the Yuba-Sutter area to Lake Almanor. Future directions for Carolyn's work
are taking her outdoors and to the unique beauty of the Almanor Area and its creatures.
