My sketchbooks define who I am as an artist.....always in the field. I prefer painting
with pastels, oils, or gouache on a colored ground....the brighter the better. My studio is behind my house in Taylorsville

University of Wisconsin, Cambridge Adult School at Harvard, California College of Arts & Crafts, Chico State University,
Feather River College, Tuscarora Pottery/Art School, and numerous workshops.
I work quickly. I have come to realize that there is no "right way" to do a piece. Get the picture
going, and at some point it will take on a life of its own. Every time I think I'm hitting my stride, I turn into
the excited beginner, fascinated with the materials at hand. I paint throughout the western U.S. and Bequia, an island
in the Eastern Caribbean.
