Mesothelioma around the world

February 4th, 2012

Mesothelioma is the most threatening disease in the world today. There are many factors to consider which makes dreadful disease for a common man and also grave challenge to the medical community. The main factor is that symptoms of this disease are not at all specific. Symptoms Mesothelioma are similar to that of some other well known diseases. So even if the patient experiencing some symptoms by suffering form Mesothelioma a specialist might not able to diagnose the disease. The other factor which makes Mesothelioma more dreadful is due to asbestos dust particles which remain inside the humans for 30-40 years of age. After such a long period the asbestos fibers then begins interfering with the functioning of mesothelial cells which may leads to formation of cancerous cells.

Still no permanent cure was found for this Mesothelioma cancer. The best thing that medical doctors can only do is, to make the patient remaining life more pain free. As of now few treatment options are available which holds promise for future. But none of the methods have proved permanent cure for this cancer. The traditional methods which are useful in treating other types of cancer have not proved successful in dealing with Mesothelioma. Only the combination of treatment options such as chemotherapy, radiation and surgery are helpful in making the patients’ life more pain free and comfortable. Doctors even advice patients to follow some other treatment options such as ayurveda, aroma therapy and also herbal therapy along with the conventional treatment options.

Heinz Secret Ingredient Cottage Pie review

November 18th, 2011

My entire family really enjoyed Heinz Secret Ingredient cottage pie. It was a cold, rainy evening when we first ate it and the delicious smell coming from the kitchen was so homey. This is definitely comfort food for winter. The dinner was quite filling and we ate it with a side of green peas, just as the recipe suggested.

I am not much of a cook, but this recipe was quite easy to follow and create. I also like the fact that it uses minced beef, one of the most economical types of meats available at the butcher’s shop. I suppose it would be simple to substitute minced chicken or turkey if one preferred, but the minced beef gave the meal a wonderful beefy flavour, that might be hard to replicate otherwise.

This dinner did not take very long at all to cook. In about half an hour I had it all ready to pop into the oven. I think that if one wanted to, it would be easy to make the mashed potato ahead of time as well as brown the minced beef and store them both in the refrigerator. Then it would be simply a matter of coming home from work, preparing the gravy and vegetables, topping the mince with potatoes and cheese, and sliding the whole dish into the oven. Just doing that could shave fifteen or twenty minutes off of the preparation time, especially since there would not be potatoes to peel and chop right before dinnertime.

My children loved this dinner and have requested me to prepare it again. Even though carrots are not their very favourite vegetable, they ate them anyway. I suppose it is because the carrots were covered in the thick, tasty gravy. I think that the next time that I make this, I will substitute green beans for the carrots and I believe they will enjoy it even more.

I never would have guessed that Heinz Tomato Ketchup was in this pie. But now that I do know it, I believe it is the key ingredient in making the sauce so thick, rich, and tasty. Heinz Secret Ingredient Cottage Pie was a winner at my house, and I bet it will be popular for many other families as well.
